Hi Mia! As a heads up, the pools where fish clean your feet are not only dangerous but also abusive to the fish. I remember seeing something about it some time ago, where they explained that these places are prone to giving people horrible skin infections. They also starve the fish so they eat your dead skin. It's a really shitty practice

A friend, my husband, and I have all studied both kendo and kumdo (korean weapon arts). You don't even get to HOLD a real katana until you are rank 4-5. And one of our peers watched a kendo master (8+) accidentally slice through his achilles tendon when doing a demonstration. This is a man who has studied for decades and we all had a huge amount of respect for. And no one knew because that is how quickly and cleanly those blades cut. He had to TELL those present to call an ambulance. It is so wild people expect more.

this video is the perfect example of why people need to be researching what they want to do BEFORE planning to go there. as you said, a lot of the low ratings were about stuff that could be easily found out online like business hours and whether or not tattoos need to be covered. i feel like a lot of people, especially people from the US, have a hard time remembering that not everywhere has the same customs as wherever they came from. this video is also a good example of why you should be reading the content of reviews since people have different interests. like someone who hates being barefoot isn’t going to like the art exhibit but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad art exhibit.

the park seems like a japanese keukenhof which is like a central part to display all of the flowers that the country has to offer so it makes total sense for it to be priced. The amount of people working there and tending, and it's like a museum in a garden. From the massive gates, it's very clearly not just a normal park. I'm very happy that other countries have this idea :)

Team Labs is actually less about pictures and more about feeling the experience and also i would 100% download the app - it gives extra info and also you can interact with some of the exhibits like the mirror light room which is awesome

My conclusion is that people who left these 1 star reviews: didn’t do their research before going to the experience, are insufferable tourist that expect English everywhere, expect Japan to be empty so they don’t have to experience crowded TOURIST DESTINATIONS 😒 be for real!

One star reviews can be really helpful for determining whether people going there have the same mindset as you. 5 star reviews with no details are not helpful. Looking forward to more feisty Mia content.
