Residents raise climate change concerns as parts of Europe face unseasonable early heat wave

Paris sweltered in temperatures of up to 35 degrees Celsius on Friday as an exceptionally early heatwave struck France.

Locals and tourists in the city were seen cooling off in cafés, standing by sprinklers and gulping down bottles of water.

Temperatures in many of France's areas hit 40 C for the first time this year on Thursday and were expected to peak on Saturday, climbing to 41-42 C.

On the U.K.’s hottest day of the year so far, Brits headed for the sea and fretted about climate change on Friday as temperatures soared to 34 degrees Celsius.

A spokesperson for the United Kingdom's weather service said that Friday was likely to top Wednesday's 2022 record of 28.2 degrees Celsius, with 34 expected in some parts of the southeast.

Charlie Uksel, originally from Cyprus and now studying in London, said the difference in weather between England and his home country was worrying.

"In Cyprus it's raining and I'm in London and I'm boiling here, so something must change," he said.

I don't thi k anyone with eyes to see will deny climate change.
Nevertheless, we must begin to understand that man has little to do with this cycle.
Yes... We should curb pollution.
Yes... We should find alternative energy sources and save fossil fuels for industries that do not have the technology to bridge the present gap.
Yes... We should work with our governments to help reduce dependency to energy grids and develop personal means of energy production.
Yes... We should reduce taxation with this global economic free fall.

What we can not allow is corporations to keep pushing a narrative that funnels money into their pockets, and authority into their bought political charletans.

Paris June 5th, 2015 - 32C

But June 2022 at 35C is unseasonable? Stop gathering in the millions within cities paved black then calling the elevated temperature global warming - sorry "Climate Change" .

We need to tax Canadians more to stop climate change. If everyone pays a little more we can do it.

Why is this a big deal? Here in South Florida heat is commonplace. 🙄🤔 It's not climate change, it's called weather.

STOP SAYING "New Normal" !!
This is an oxymoron. If it's new, it isn't normal.
This phrase is depreciating the perception of the catastrophe.
