I presume its a good idea to have a nearby stationary object for a visual reference but i have seen some people occasionally shine a light on the object during this process. My question is if you need to shine a light on that nearby object how often during the shot would it be required?

I do astrophotograpy. I don't understand how you get clear sky images without star trails when doing timed exposures more than 4 minutes. Using the 500 Rule, what would be the focal length of the S23 Ultra camera? Thanks. Enjoyed the tutorial.

I tried to click with short time period on S23 base but photo was overexposed. I could see the stars but not the purple pink or blue shades that you have in the photo

That's amazing! How do you compensate for the earth's rotation in order to get the pinpoint star pics? Does your tripod have an equatorial mount? Or does the phone do it?
