Aluminium is an element which can heat up very high but at the same time it very cool down very fast. In winter season the phone will be very cool all throughout the day..

it's not about the temperature it's about the fact that its metal, it transfers heat faster than plastic and glass, which means even if it is cooler than glass it will feel hotter bcz glass wont transfer heat to your palm as fast as metal will.

Typing on OP N4. It does heat up compared to OP NCE4 which i gave to my mom after buying this device.

why don't you check CPU temperature reading of the phone instead of checking temperature of backside of phone?

another real world test you can try next time is connecting it to a car with android auto (wired obv) with navigation turned on that's when i notice my phones heat up the most

What is the normal temperature operating range for the OnePlus Nord 4, i.o.w. when does the term 'overheating' come in play? Also, what is an easy and quick way to check the temperature on the phone? I used a temperature indicator as part of a gaming mode overlay, but I feel like it isn't really accurate... Thanks in advance! 😊
