I like a lot the girl at 2:44, in black and with the pony tail. She explains very well the differences of cultures, with very specific examples, and at the same time she has a good understanding of how things are for foreigners in a non judgemental way, but having clear what she prefers. It seems she has the traditional values of her country but at the same time she is very understanding (I think being an understanding person is much more valuable than the so call "open-mind" people, I mean, "open mind" people in the surface they look liberal but most of the times they are very closed in their views and don't want to understand the way other people live). So I like the way she exposes her views. A good insight into Korea.

New questions are needed other than would you date a foreigner. I'd like to know what these younger Koreans do for work, how they feel about work/life balance in Korea. How do they feel about stereotypes of Koreans and their culture like bullying/school violence/ the perception that they all follow each other to fit in and that plastic surgery is rampant. What do they truly think of idols and idol life? What do they recommend foreigners must do when they visit Korea etc. What do they think of military service? Etc etc etc. Just not the will-you-date-us-please content 😴

I think this whole dating foreigners especially from Korea are for those residing in Korea.
The culture is not what you could say compatible to western countries, if some try to make it work then yeah good for them, but it simply means its not for the majority, no matter how open minded.

I also think Koreans are idealizing dating with western people too much as they likely do not understand on what to expect and what to give up on.
But Asians dating other Asians are likely having an easier time to relate because of the countries proximity being closer to one another..

I feel there's more to it than attractiveness and compatibility in the "would you date a foreigner" question. As me, for example, it's not that I don't like foreigner men. Is just that I want to stay in my country whith the people I love, so any relationship like this would feel temporary.

Wow! Thanks for explaining Kimchi Girl. I never heard that before. I am in South Korea now. A lot of women look at me and I don't know what that means. Naturally, I am Black and my hair has locks. I don't know Korean and I am thinking of making South Korea home. I like understanding how people think. I have no need for dating but I find this all very interesting. The biggest fear of all women around the world is to be judge and excluded from their social circle. In Asian countries relationship with foreigners usually will be the issue.

Of course there will be exceptions but in general good women always will go for their nation as a first choice

These girls know how to get their point of view across. Here in Brazil we got a japanese interviewer asking question about japanese men, and errm... The answers weren't nearly as elaborated and sometimes mistaken. People were just having a good time and didn't took the interview seriously, dodged the questions, kind doo-doo of their ideas.

Hi K Exporer! It would be more interesting if you added this question when asking korean girls about dating foreigners: "would you consider his skin color?" Sure, some of these Korean girls answered that nationality doesn't matter to them, but I highly doubt they are aware of men from South East Asia, South America, and Africa as people from these continents have darker skin complexion.

•DATING IN GREECE
In my country, dating is a bit less complicated
(if you manage to get a date) than in other countries.
1)You ask the girl out. That could also be a very ambiguous lets go for coffee. You express interest not love.
2)If it goes well you start texting often and go on more dates (often unlike Korea could also be once a day)
3)You get intimate, that could be as soon as the 2nd date (3rd is the average).
4)Its generally assumed that since you are consistently dating and talking and are intimate that you are exclusive and are a couple. Yes most people talk about about it at this point in order to be clear.
BUT if you dont say anything and the other person also dates someone else at the same time, thats a MASSIVE NO. Its assumed that it is exclusive from the start, unless agreed otherwise.
Greek society and dating scene is very open and flirty but as soon as you start dating someone its very rare for people to date another. Unlike both American and Korean culture. I'm very proud of my country for this.
