I had commented to you right after his 1st performance to check this out. This man went from a janitor to the winner of AGT, couldn't be any happier for him!!

He's 50+ years old, so is his vocal cords. To be able to sustain a high note at that age, he is so amazing, that is short of superhuman right there. This guy is everyone's hero.

I love Richard Goodall! He has proved to all of us 50 somethings that dreams still do come true. He deserved this. I haven't voted for anyone on any of these shows since the early 2000s (American Idol stuff). But I made it a point to download the app and vote for Richard because of his talent and his perfect pitch. He is a nice guy, yes, but he's actually really talented and he deserved this because of that. He's not a charity case.

So glad you found him. I hope you watch and react to the rest of his performances. He was so nervous in this audition, but I found with each performance, you could see his confidence grow. In the finale, which was Tuesday night, he got to perform this song with members of Journey. (sadly not Steve Perry) but Steve Perry and Journey have been following him on social media for a few years, after him singing this song at the school he works at went viral.

I saw an interview with him, after this audition aired. He said he's never had any vocal training of any kind, just him singing along to his favorite songs on his ghetto blaster in his bedroom. This is all pure raw talent.

I watched his audition as it somehow ended up on my YT recommended videos. I was blown away. I kept crossing my figures through the quarters and semis. The day after the finale I googled. I was so damn happy he won. Plus seeing him perform Don't Stop Believin' with Journey was incredible. I'm from the UK and seeing this very humble man climb to be beloved in America was fantastic.
