Reflections from afar: we welcome refugees from Hong Kong, I don't ever remember any problems with Chinese, even though they often don't integrate, but they do very much respect hard work, law and order. We have many Indians, some highly integrated, some not, but largely respect hard work, law and order. We welcome refugees from Ukraine, do they integrate, some do, some do not, but again largely respect hard work, law and order. There is a common thread, and it's part of traditional British values. Traditional British welcome hard-working, law-abiding immigrants, who are not attempting to "change" the UK and it's traditions. Despite this, if one flooded any country in the world with millions of immigrants, the country would destabilize. An example, if millions of Germans entered Spain, every year, I'm sure the Spanish would object, especially if many of them, started insisting on German language and traditions should be imposed. And this, even if the Germans were making a net contribution to Spain. It's just common sense, no?
