I was there when this happened. First year in Christ. While every other college called a band that was pretty mainstream and well known, it was disheartening at first to know that your college called upon some obscure band. But like all the slow sweet revelation of things that Bangalore offers to all newcomers, this band was the pleasant new surprise which was indeed a metaphor for all the freshness and a whole change from the refined beaten down cultural sensibility I had amassed over the years, that the city had to offer.
