Game of Thrones tapestry unveiled at the Ulster Museum

A tapestry which tells the story of Game of Thrones has been unveiled at the Ulster Museum in Belfast.

Tourism Ireland revealed the new installation as part of a new campaign to entice more Game of Thrones fans to Northern Ireland.

The 77 metre long tapestry depicts scenes from the hit HBO series and will be added to in the coming weeks as series seven airs on Sky Atlantic.

It shows the trials and tribulations of the Game of Thrones characters in its most epic and famous scenes – complete with blood red weddings, golden Lannister hair, emerald green wildfire, cold blue White Walkers and jet black crows.

The tapestry was unveiled at the Ulster Museum ahead of the season seven premiere on Monday night in the UK. It will be opened to the public from Saturday, July 22.
