why is one a 3 prong and one a 4 prong? I am putting in an old electric range, and this is the second video I have seen. BUt, the range im trying to put in looks like this one with the bolts sticking out. We had to buy a newer 3 prong chord, but the range doesnt turn on. So, im wondering if im dealing with a 4 prong

Make sure your breakers matches your range amperage
It can be more than the range amperage

A50 amp breaker would not protect a 40 amp cord
