The Eminence in Shadow is one of my favorite anime of 2022, such as The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt, Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, Lycoris Recoil, Fuuto Pi and even Chainsaw Man.

Honestly this is a really fun show. It brings back a lot of that late 2000's/early 2010's spontaneity that I've missed in more recent anime.

I got through the first chapter of the manga and found the mc super cringe. Why did this get such a well made anime adaptation while other series with a better storyline got lesser quality anime adaptation? Not fair.
