I almost started crying watching your video ❤️ I also love surprises and watching people be surprised so this was awesome! I’ve had friends in a similar position where they were unsure they could even get pregnant but knew it was something they always wanted. They have really made me appreciate what a gift pregnancy is.

As you’ve said, ‘everything happens for a reason’ so no matter what happens, I hope you are always surrounded by lots of love and support. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to do everything perfectly! You’ve clearly been doing things just right so far! 😉☺️ I hate how much pressure is put on new moms and I can imagine being on YouTube would only increase that. The start of your pregnancy is a little different, the rest of it might look a little different too.

*Seeing a lot of comments from people who hoped that Kurt would propose first* -- NEWSFLASH! Life doesn't always happen according to society's "perfect timeline" and *IT'S NORMAL!* For example: Some people finish college in 4 straight years, some people take their time or gap years. Some people don't finish or go to college at all. Some people find themselves in their 20's, others find themselves in their 50's. etc. Similarly, marriage doesn't have to happen before babies. Both Sarah and Kurt love each other are ready to bring this child into the world. That's what matters!

Congratulations Sarah, I’m so happy for you. I decided to comment, although I don’t think I ever have before, for two reasons:
1. I have had two unexpected pregnancies in my life and now have two wonderful children. Keep prioritizing your relationship with Kurt so it stays as awesome as it is (because raising children comes with lots of stress and challenges along with the fun and joy), and I recommend the two of you spend some time talking about your hopes or expectations for raising your baby – education, religion, saving or spending money on different things, etc. By making sure that you’re both on the same page about these things, you will save yourself a lot of potential conflict in the future. I’m speaking from experience. I really wish I’d have known how important discussing and agreeing on those types of things was to the harmony and success of the relationship, and how it contributes to a harmonious parenting experience. It’s hard enough as it is, so creating a game plan with your partner to make sure that you’re both on the same page makes things 100 times easier than finding out you disagree and having conflict down the road.

2. I’m 34 and currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. It was a complete shock—I have no family history, I’m, in all other respects, a very healthy person with an excellent diet, I‘m a Pilates and yoga instructor, I run half marathons, and yet now, as I write this to you, I am bald and around 10 pounds heavier, having just finished 6 1/2 months of chemotherapy and hormone suppression. My bilateral mastectomy and the removal of my fallopian tubes is scheduled in two weeks, and I am terrified. And also just very generally sad many days. I would not wish this on anyone, as it’s been the most horrible experience of my life. By a lot. And I’ve been through a number of very trying life experiences. The reason that I am telling you all of this is because throughout the past 7 month of struggling and sadness in my life, I have watched your videos specifically because I knew they would make me happy. I’ve been watching you since you had crappy video quality and no brand to speak of. And like a lot of your viewers, I’m sure, I continued to watch you because you have an awesome outlook on life. You’re positive and proactive and joyful. And in a very dark and depressing time in my life, you have given me moments of happiness and joy by allowing me to share in and vicariously live through your experiences. So thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart. Really. And I couldn’t be happier for you. I’m happy for your success, I’m happy for your relationship with Kurt, who has always seemed like such a quality guy to me btw, and now I am so happy for you that you will be able to be the mom that you’ve always wanted to be.
