I abandoned my iPhone 15 Pro Max and spent a full week with the Nokia 2780 Flip to see if I could survive, and perhaps even thrive, with a feature phone in 2024.

95% of this was:
I spent a week using a $90 flip phone to complain it wasn't a $1200 iphone.
People revert to "dumb phones" to stop being so dependent on smart phones and help them to cut screen time. IMHO

I remember listening to local over the air FM radio on my Nokia 6085 and 6101 in the mid-2000s. Any earphone or headphone’s cable that was attached served as the FM tuner’s antenna. It was free audio that did not count against your mobile data cap!

I don't use any social media at all, so that wouldn't be an adjustment at all for me. However, I do use my phone to keep up on tech news and track my workouts and diet. The shocking thing for me is that this is just a one day phone. I kind of expected more. At least the battery is swappable.

You can easily survive with a 2012-13 Blackberry Curve or Bold, as it has a QWERTY keyboard. It can do everything the feature phone does, but on a slightly larger 3 inch screen.

What i hate about new nokias is hard to buy new batteries because their battery swell over time.

How do you listen to music on it do you have to hook it into computer and put MP3 files on it or does it work with apps like YouTube music and all those, also if you close screen if you have YouTube premium will the video and audio stop or still play in background

I’m getting a new flip phone in a week or two. 😊 don’t care what anyone says or thinks. It’s the TCL Flip 2 and I can even order a nice plastic case to put around the phone.

I want a pretty basic phone for my middle schooler to have on him when he's at friends or after school stuff, but I need to know if this phone has the ability to be tracked by me? Anyone know?

Kudos to you for going a week. I used the same Nokia phone for a weekend. Its for sure different than today's phones, but its similar to what I grew up using so that nostalgia factor was present. It did make me use my phone less.
