Can't believe Eva Marie Saint is still alive at 98 years old. James Mason really had that nice touch of sauve about him. A great movie.

The boy in the background to the right at 1:40 plugs his ears before the gunshot began.

There are some wonderful ultra-'50s sets in this film, like this elaborate one for the visitors' center cafeteria and gift shop - not to mention the fictitious nearby modernist house. And the shot of the Lincoln Continental taking off from the parking lot with Mt. Rushmore in the background is fabulous. It and the older 1949-'50 Mercury parked on the right have correct, actual South Dakota license plates which have a design showing a small version of Mt. Rushmore on the top, mimicking the view of the real thing in the distance here.

*i love the kid in the **_BACKGROUND (_**_1:40_**_)_** to the right plugging his ears. because this was one of a number of takes for the scene, so he knew when the shots were coming.*

"Apparently the only performance that will satisfy you is when I play dead."

"Your very next role, you'll be quite convincing I assure you."

This scene could be Cary Grant's audition tape to play the first James Bond

THE greatest Hitchcock film. It had everything. Great story. Great acting. And probably THE most memorable scene in the history of Hollywood cinema. The
'crop dusting scene' of course

2:00 is a 1959 Ford Lincoln Continental. Left (of car) headlight looks non-shine, opaque, due to avoid reflection of camera and staff.
Minute 2:08 I think it is a zoom made of post-production, please notice the grain of frame.
Incredible the quality of image 4K, impresively you can see people faces even they were far from lens.
Technology of today is the best of time when to restorice film is talking.

One of my favorite movies... excellent writing, acting, directing, musical score. If you notice James Mason's hands are clasped at the 25 second mark, then a second later his hands are in different position. Then they are clasped again at 45 seconds.
