Various lace color choices will make this pop! Just starting my collection of boot wear, only have a pair of Danner Patrols for 4 yrs. After watching so many reviews of Nicks, Whites, Franks, Hoffman, JK, Thursday, Thorogood, Chippewa, etc, I decided to go ahead and ordered my first pair of Truman's yesterday. Went with the Cognac Shrunken Bison Uplands. The Squirrel Rambler and this Gobi Mohawk will be next in line. Was gonna go with Stone Ramblers but I think the Gobi Mohawk might be a nice change due to the lighter earth tone color.

I ordered a pair of 1000 mile boots with similar leather. I ended up returning them as they weren't my style but you have a huge collection so these make sense for you. You already have a number of smooth leather versions. As an aside, I'm reminded about an airport encounter. A guy stopped me to discuss my 20 year old Filson briefcase that has more patina than an old camel. He asked if I bought it that way because his wife recently bought him a bag and paid extra for one that looked worn. I could barely hold back my laughter. I told him the stains, stretch marks and holes were all due to me and thousands of miles of travel.

Hey man, now this isn’t about the video but it is a question. What’s the best means of stretching out leather about half a size so that my feet fit the boot better.. I got a job mowing lawns and noticed that after many hours my toes get tight at the toe area. These are my Mark Albert boots in mushroom rough out. The main concern being is that it’s about 10oz leather (two layers of leather) around the vamp and toe area. I tried wearing thinner socks but the boot itself is also a tiny bit wide. Is this something a cobbler can modify? Aight cheers great vid 👍
