I traded Wilson (SF, ) Njoku, and Geno Smith for Justin Herbert and AJ Brown. the way our rosters are set up made this a much better trade than how it appears.

he lost Javonte Williams and Swift, and was relegated to starting Hunt and Huntly...yes, ATL Huntly. he has Tyreke and Keenan Allen and Friermuth, so he could afford to relent AJ and wasn't happy with Justin herbert.

Herbert isn't a better runner than Monty. he took advantage of a perfectly executed play with a horrible Skins play to get a simple burst.

however, he can't block nor is he useful in the passing game. the game vs Washington illustrates this:

fields had a much better passer rating with Monty in, and by far.

so, running-wise they are in fact equal (Monty wasn't able to enjoy padding rushing stats like Herbert vs Texans, actually, ) whereas Monty is heads and shoulders elsewhere.
