Why Didn't CatNap Kill DogDay In Poppy Playtime?

CatNap, otherwise known as Experiment 1188 or previously Theodore Grambell, is the third antagonist of Poppy Playtime, serving as the main antagonist of Chapter 3: Deep Sleep and the secondary antagonist of the series.

My theory: Dogday says "I am.. The last of the Smiling Critters..." but we all know Catnap is alive. But since he is a traitor and for Dogday, "killed" the rest of the smiling critters, we know that none of them after let's say, 'The hour of joy' included Catnap as a smiling critter. He's also been officially taken out of the Smiling Critters group, so now we know why he says he's the last. We also know that the rest of the critters are confirmed by Dogday 'deceased'. But are they really? We saw Bobby Bearhug in home sweet home. She looked dead when we first see her. But after we take the battery from her, we need another battery. And when we go back to her for the other battery, she's standing up. Clearly known as 'alive' then, which is before the Dogday scene. Dogday appears to not know that the others actually survived. We only see Dogday, Catnap, and Bobby Bearhug in Chapter 3 which gives me an idea. Maybe only a few of the smiling critters will be in Chapter 4? Only 3 were in Chapter 3. 3 in the 3rd. So I think there will be 4 in Chapter 4. But on the other hand, my theory could be very wrong because as we all know, in Chapter 1, we had Huggy Wuggy. A mysterious and completely random but oddly creepy toy. Then after killing him, we get Mommy Long legs. And elastic-plastic toy that can strech her limbs and body in twisted and deformed ways. So in Chapter 2 a pretty random character. A bright pink toy spider with lipstick? If that's not random enough, is a purple cat with it's seven different friends random to you? In chapter 3 (the most recent chapter) we have the main antagonist, Catnap. A purple, skinny, cat. Always smiling, just like the others. Then we have the second main antagonist, Dogday. A bright orange and red-orange dog without legs that somehow survived Catnap and the Prototype. Then we have a red bear with a heart pendant, known as Bobby Bearhug. Those are the characters we DO see in Chapter 3. But the ones we don't see, like Craftycorn! She has light blue hair and bright white skin. And a pastel yellow horn! Then we have hoppy hopscotch. A bright and dark green rabbit with big floppy ears. Is even that not random enough? Well we also have a blue elephant with a lightbulb pendant, known as Bubba Bubbaphant. We also then have Kickin' Chicken. A bright yellow chicken that's the cool kid in the Smiling Critters gang. Well, him being the cool kid is random. Him on his own isn't that random. Moving on, I'm gonna stop talking about those characters now. So in every Chapter we have a completely different character. Aight listen this is my theory; The prototype wanted to kill Dogday prob, cuz he wasnt under control of the prototype. So he sended CatNap to do it, but, dogday was kinda like CatNaps best friend/only friend according to the voice lines and other sources. So when the prototype sended CatNap to kill DogDay he tortured him but didnt have the courage to kill him. He took his legs as proof to the prototype that he killed him. But didnt actually kill him. CatNap left DogDay on a place no one would find him, including the prototype. He knew the prototype would prob find Dogday if he left the hiding place so tied him up for his own good. Also so that the prototype would believe CatNap killed dogday. (Cuz if the prototype would found DogDay he would also kill and torture catnap cuz he thought he killed DogDay but didnt). This is a small theory that would kinda make sense cuz why would dogday 1, tie himself up and 2, just stay there quietly. It just doesnt make sense.

My theory is that DogDay was CatNap's best friend. CatNap stopped being under control of Prototype for a bit before the events of chapter 3 and left Dogday alive but chained him up so Prototype did not find Dogday

Catnap kept him alive, cause he wanted Dogday to see each of his friends die infront of him, to believe that he failed as the leader of the crittters…

I had a another theory but it not about dogday or catnap relationships so I think the smilling critters are not dead there are hiding out there cause catnap would never kill them he calmed them down so I think catnap was tortured by the prototype so he did it killing them but the proytype thought he killed them so he didn’t so he told them to hide even tho he could not talk they did but then the proytype made them smaller maybe there are the mini smilling critters? But when they possessed dogday maybe there were possesed as well

my theory is that catnap wanted to see him suffer.he killed the other ones but he saved dogday because catnap and prototype to wanted to kill him but they wanted to see him die.

My theory: other critters like pickypiggy killed and ate some of the other smiling critters based on her cardboard cutout saying she loved to eat “unicorn, elephant, and chicken” which are all smiling critters but I think that others peoples theories tie into this because I think dogday and other smiling critters tried to fight the prototypes control and other smiling critters like catnap, pickypiggy and others maybe did not and helped. This would lead to dogday saying how there is no other true smilijg critters alive just the ones under the prototypes control. This is a possibility that those others that have not been found could have been eaten by picky piggy or just survived and helped the prototype. I think it’s reasonable to believe this since the prototype does not use them until after they’re dead which means since we don’t see their bodies on him they could be alive or trapped somewhere he does not know about. I think catnap hated dogday because he was shown as the leader and wanted to teach him how he (catnap ) felt when he was left out after they revoked cstnap plushie from productions

Dogday may not actually know if the other critters are dead or not. If catnap didn’t want to kill dogday, he may have told them they were dead in order for dogday to lose his will to live and would beg for catnap to kill him, in order to lessen the guilt

My theory is that I think that catnap had a relationship of the prototype considering him as his god but Dogday wanted all his friends including catnap to get out if the prototypes control but catnap did not listen and attempted to make some of the critters run insane like, crafty, picky and bubba he used the red smoke for this some critters did not go insane but died but he tortes Dogday for incurring the player to leave the insane ones except crafty cause she was eaten by picky bubba and picky might still be alive and obeying the prototype I think the reason Dogday said he was the last of the critters is be cuz he thought we knew about the insane ones and he was excluding them
