l had a Roux n Y bypass in 2004 and it was a disaster l have had all sorts of complication and have had to have many more surgeries to save my life. i have had to have my gallbladder out, stones in my bile duct, joint erosions, parts of my bowel removed. Because of sepsis my kidneys are damaged and l have liver failure. l had to give up my baby daughter as l was so ill l was unable to care for her, l attempted suicide over the distress. My family have spent weeks sitting in intensive care willing me to survive. At this stage my wee daughter comes and stays when l am able to look after her but l will never be well enough to have full care. l am on large doses of drugs that have led to my weight increasing and l have regained 30kgs of the 100kgs l lost. l went from a happy obese person with good health to being an invalid for life. l know many people who have suffered like me and died because of this surgery.

Let me understand this, someone is going to cut my stomach so I don't eat more than I should. What happened to self-determination? This is Barbaric to say the least.
