Chucks and Vans are 100% appropriate for knocking around (not the kind with silly designs on them). I'm not hopping on skateboards or cruising college campuses acting a fool. If I'm dressing for a summer afternoon of drinks on a patio, then I break out the classic leather kicks.

Having been a track coach and distance running coach for 35+ years, I basically lived in running shoes. Now at 72, I recently purchased my first two pairs of leather sneakers (buck navy and a cognac brown) and really enjoy them. Casual but classy that gives an informal but nicely dressed impression. I'm not a white sneaker guy but black will be my next buy!

I'm a 48 year old dad and I wear the same shoes as my 17 yo son (we usually go shoe shopping together). No I don't wear A&F or off white but I don't subscribe to age shaming either. I wear what I like and what's comfortable but still like to be fashionable.

I've got these in white, black and brown. I'm wearing sneakers in place of boots for summer with my pants and dress or collared shirt for work. I'm liking the style change. I still wear my Chucks with jeans or shorts at times.

I'm 52 and I have a pair of Clark's brown leather sneakers and I get compliments everytime I wear them with jeans or khakis. I also have a pair of white canvas K-Swiss that are perfect with jeans or shorts.
