This week was slightly out of the ordinary with an email from Elon Musk to the SpaceX team hinting on disaster if Raptor engine issues can’t be resolved. On the plus side, Starship Tower Construction Begins at Cape Canaveral! YES! We are diving right into that, along with the implied hints on Starlink Version 2 satellites. Then of course we have all the development news you would expect including seeing the Orbital Tank Farm come to life for the first time for a potential static fire. We have an very exciting Rocket Lab Neutron Update, a SpaceX’s Starlink mission sending the second launch to the fourth shell, and a spacewalk at the international space station that was initially cancelled due to space debris.

I don’t post on YouTube normally, but I really wanted you to know just how much I appreciate these videos. The information here is absolutely amazing as I follow the continuing journey of space flight. It’s great to get real information without any embellishments or attitude. Thanks for doing such a professional job keeping us all informed.

Marcus,

What I love about both your channel and the WAI channel is that neither of you use “click-bait”. You both strive to provide factual technical information that is both current, and to my mind, unbiased. You have a highly educated demeanor, and even when postulating with regard to potential future events, you do so logically and with great foresight and enthusiasm. You are the epitome of professionalism, and I’m truly grateful you are here to share your passion for mankind’s future in space. God bless you Sir. You have my sincere thanks.

Reminder that the Saturn V was launched only 12 times during its 7 years of operation. And they have asked the FAA to launch 8 times next year.
Yeah.
FAA might also be the reason they are going back to 39A...

Awesome update but I’d like to correct a common misperception. LC 39 is at the KSC on Merritt Island, not Cape Canaveral. The Banana River separates KSC from Cape Canaveral. NASA oversees KSC and the USSF oversees Cape Canaveral. I hope this helps.

Seeing the intro on the road to Mars gave me goosebumps. Wow that is totally awesome. What an adventure and best of all we can watch it all. Thank you all SpaceX fans!!!

The Neutron rocket from Rocket-Lab is very reminiscent of the old V-2 rockets from WWII, at least to me anyways.

They test rockets everyday. We can hear it and feel it our house, fifteen miles away, in Waco, just about everyday. We hear this loud deep rumble that reminds one of a train going by, or a jet going over. Only, your ear can't pinpoint the direction it's coming from. You go outside to see what it is, and the sound is coming from everywhere. The house walls vibrate from the very low rumble. The windows rattle. After about a minute, it stops. Then, you realize, Oh! It's the rocket testing in McGregor.

Launches every two weeks next year doesn't necessarily mean from the start of the year onwards.
Could be the goal for the cadence they want to achieve at some point during the next year.

When he says reach a launch rate of one every 2 weeks, I believe he means reach that rate by the end of the year.

I think Peter Beck and Rocket Lab are amazing and I'm, excited to watch their progress. I am curious to see how Neutron will function problem free. After watching SpaceX try to land Starship with the hard landings, I don't see any type of shock absorption. I'm also curious to see the payload separate and clear the fairings without bouncing off of them like how the nozzle scraped the sides during stage separation of Falcon 9's early flight.
Either way it will be absolutely incredible to watch.

Lately, I have no spare time to search for space news by myself. Your Saturday report is a treat for me!

Neutron is a really interesting concept, hope it works.

"Achieve a flight rate of once every two weeks" means eventually get to the point where they can launch every two weeks, not literally launch every two weeks for the entire year.

Especially love the update on "Stage Zero" - that thing still blows my mind!

Just let this sink in: In the time needed to create a newborn baby, SpaceX has built AN ENTIRE ORBITAL LAUNCH FACILITY for the MOST POWERFUL ROCKET EVER. Its so amazing and cool that we can watch this progress real-time with the likes of NASASpaceFlight and RGV aerial photography. And thanks to you Marcus for compiling this ridiculous amount of progress they are making to bite-sized videos. Keep going Marcus!

Marcus thank you for the calm assessment of Elons bankruptcy statement regarding Raptor production opposed to the almost hysterical in nature reporting of many other SpaceX following youtube channels 👍

Hearing the news about the Starship pad getting started at the Cape made me go back and watch the video of Starship from five years ago taking people to Mars. So much has changed from that concept version.
