Enjoyed seeing your visit to the farm. You are going to have a beautiful garden with all that gorgeous composted manure.🌞🌻🍅

Hi from Australia (Victoria )
It is so exciting watching your veggie garden develop. You are so fortunate to have access to that wonderful manure!
I live in a Retirement Village but have enough space for a small veggie patch.. I like grow tomatoes, onions, beans, sometimes cucumber and eggplant, lettuce, capsicum ( they didn't do well last year), various herbs. I don't know if I save money but I do get great tasting organic produce.
Loved seeing all the happy animals at your friends property, and of course your sweet doggies!😊

I tried the gardening in the ground, I'm to old and breathing is to hard these days to get out and weed. Also, tried the container gardening the weeds we have just grew up through the containers after 2 years. I ended up pulling it all up and starting over again. I did put cardboard in several layers down didn't work. This year I'm done I'm selling my containers. By the time I bought all that manure and dirt it just wasn't worth the struggle. I have a couple of pots I'll put cucumbers in and one or two tomato plants but, that the end for me. I just went to the store with my "dirt" money and bought several flats of veggies. All done and no swearing at my husband to come and help me. Neither of us really enjoy being outside (we were raised in the country). We seen enough grass, and trees.

I am able to grow tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini (courgette), summer squash (2 varieties), many herbs, blueberries, strawberries, maybe eggplant (auburgine)and cucumber (fingers crossed that they produce). I do not get a lot of full sun, but I am able to get a harvest.

I remember visiting my girlfriend's family in Brittany during college, years ago. Her grandfather had a large house in town that was literally built as a townhouse next to the local elementary school. The back yard of the school was a giant walled-in playground. And on the house side was a walled-in garden that could have fed an army! Good times...

We live on a third of an acre, including house, driveway etc . Our back yard is almost all garden. We freeze and can as much as we can. We estimated we ate, canned and froze about $ 1, 000 worth of food including what we shared with family and friends. Our front yard has 2 apples trees and 2 peach trees. I love your videos they are great motivation for us!

Aubergines I grow successfully in a Quebec Canada which has a short growing season. I plant them in late May and harvest in late August by actually buying a small plant and growing them in a container. Last year I had 3 different types of aubergines. They like good rich soil and fertilizer so your horse muck should work very well. I add my organic fertilizer to the containers halfway through the growing season. If you plant them with other veggies make sure they are near good companion plants. Make sure they don’t get over watered so if you will have several days of rain move the containers to inside the polytunnel. The varieties I had most success with are the long Asian types and the round ones . Good luck.

"A bit of a workout today" -- what an understatement! That was a huge amount of work -- certainly a contrast to your careful, very clean quilting. Your garden will be superb.

I use to volunteer at an organic farm and they would go and get zoo poo to use in the soil. It sets for 8 to 12 months. It never smelled and it helped produce the most gorgeous vegetables. It came from the elephants, giraffes and camels.

Your garden is going to be wonderful this season. We are going into Winter here in Australia. I live on my family’s farm in a small unit. I have an enclosed garden but it has two big gums in it, so any successful effort at gardening must be in above ground containers. At the moment I have 7 old baths (the family run a business that means they can access this type of thing, and they save them from landfill) I have two large Esky’s (coolers) and 3 old wheelbarrows (family use wheelbarrows in their business and they fall apart quickly) I have access to sheep manure, (which is one of the best you can use) and cow and chicken manure. We have mixed clean fill (soil) with the manure and I have filled everything. I have some winter vegetables in, and some herbs, but the majority of the containers are are going to rot down over winter, ready for spring planting. I am 70 years old, and now that the ‘hard work’ of setting up is done, I should be able to manage the garden quite well in the future. Love your videos.

LOVE the donkeys! We are growing artichokes, tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, peas, zucchini, Swiss chard, and herbs. We have fruit trees: cherries, lemon, fig, peach and apple. And blueberry plants as well.

Hi from Sydney! I collect bags of horse manure from a local riding school for $1 a bag. It’s the best for growing veges - everything flourishes! I’m amazed at people thinking horses are carnivores or fed hormones that (unfortunately) some animals bred for food are given. Horse manure is also one of the few manures that can be used after only minimal aging without ‘burning’ your new seedlings.

Your organic garden is looking really good, , 👏👏👏, you just can’t put a price on home grown fruit and vegetables, I like the idea of deterring slugs with the gorse, let us know if it works in future videos, good luck with it all 🤞🏼🤞🤞🏾
