essentials is a rinse and repeat of the same things with slight variations each season in my opinion. jerry and the fear of god team do a really good job of marketing these leading us to fall for the trap of thinking we’re getting something new and innovative from essentials. can’t even remember the last time i was eager for an essentials drop.

I just ordered the Heathered brown hoodie and joggers. The colour is gorgeous and had to have it!! Can’t wait to wear them in the fall 🤎

The only piece I may go after is the denim zip-up jacket. Would like to see some heavy weight zip-up hoodies in the fall.

The brown was the only color I wanted and I’m glad I was able to cop. Collection came at a time when I’ve been really into wearing brown lately so it was cool.

This hoodie and same with the last few collections have honestly been terrible. Super wide and weird baggy look at the waist, the weird tiny elastic cuffs that make the sleeve droop over the wrist and same with the weird elastic waist. The side pockets look weird and barely functional bc of how far wide they are, and then on top of that the tiniest rubber essentials stamp slapped on there is just lazy. Things are just not what they used to be + the materials are so thin and hard at this point. This hoodie should not be retailing for $100.
