Leading figures in Poland and the European Union, including European Council President Donald Tusk, former Polish Prime Minister Lech Walesa and former German President Joachim Gauck, traveled to Gdansk to pay their respects at the funeral of the city's late mayor in St. Mary's Church. Pawel Adamowicz was fatally stabbed while on stage at a charity event. He is remembered for his willingness to speak up about his convictions. The murder of the liberal Adamowicz is believed to have been politically motivated in a politically divided Poland.

Description: "Leading figures ... including ... former Polish Prime Minister Lech Walesa".
You know that the news source is reliable when they don't even know what political position the Noble Prize Peace winner held.

This is really sad that a almost german politician died in Poland in addition to the city which Germany often tried to occupy in order to suppress the Polish economy because this city located on important trade routes .My condolences for all Germans and German propagand television.

The respect these people have for their leader, even in death, is one of the most admirable things I have seen to date. Why does it usually take sad events to renew hope?
