About David Bowie:
David Bowie redefined musical genres and the potential of live performance for generations of music lovers. Creating and discarding a variety of personae and restlessly challenging musical boundaries, Bowie released timeless albums including Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust…, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, "Heroes,” Let's Dance, Heathen, The Next Day and many more. Blackstar, Bowie’s 28th and final studio album, was released on his 69th birthday, January 8, 2016. David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, two days after the release of Blackstar. His body of work, his influence on the worlds of music, art, fashion, film, theatre and beyond, and his legacy of innovation and reinvention will live forever. 2022 kicks off with Bowie at 75, a celebration of his 75th birthday with the Brilliant Adventure box set, the previously unreleased Toy, the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust and a series of special events.

'All people, no matter who they are, all wish they'd appreciated life more. It's what you do in life that's important, not how much time you have.' - That is a FANTASTIC quote.

THIS is how you make a film about an artist, not some flashy Hollywood biopic with half-ass actors to loosely portray them and their true story all messed up for "dramatic effect" or "artistic liberty". This is a real tribute and celebration, a true biography.

I can't wait for this! I thought it was just gonna focus on his 70s music but looks like we'll get an overall sense of his whole career which is way better!

This looks like the brilliant tribute Bowie deserves, at last.

When Bowie passed away, all that month I mourned him, I wept off and on all that January. It's notoriously a difficult month for me having lost a brother, and several other loved ones in different years but all in January. So I'm generally more emotional during January in general, so when we lost David Bowie & Alan Rickman (another I adored) it hurt so much more. I think the fact that it felt so out of nowhere, no time to prepare, feeling blindsided, made it so much more shocking.
I know David was just a human, like all of us, but he really had some kind of magick that was so rare, so BEAUTIFUL, I don't think anyone else will ever bring this world that kind of magick again. What a gift he was to this world.

How surprising is it that Moonage Daydream is my favourite and most listened Bowie song? A masterpiece, and now this well deserved film... hopefully it will do the Starman justice.

ahhhh i really cannot wait for this, brings tears to my eyes to see and hear David, like he's been brought back to perform again in this film about him, the fact that it has 48 of his songs in it and him narrating it is just super awesome... i really hope that the cinema release comes for us in the UK and spends 2 weeks there so i can go see it multiple times... Love you David

Brett Morgen did Kurt Cobain justice in the documentary "Montage of Heck", I'm sure he'll do the same for the Starman himself. Let's all freak out in a Moonage Daydream!

Does anyone else have tears of joy watching this? Looks so incredible! Apparently the Bowie estate opened their vaults for the director to access the film elements for this documentary. Been a Bowie fan for 50 years. Saw him live 3 times. My favorite male solo artist of all time. I'm going to see this multiple times when it comes out.

Looks great! Really looking forward to it. Even more so if it’s eventually released on DVD / Blu-ray for those of us who still like to own a physical copy of things like this.

'Moonage Daydream' the song was easily the most amazing tune on that excellent album. Mick Ronson's guitar solo blending with Bowie's vocals at the end of the song was simply mind-blowing. Bowie was a performance artist right to the end, sorely missed.
