recently started listening to ‘Thus Spoke Zarathustra’ on the recommendation of people including Peterson and Greene… and it is densely written and beautifully realized

Our society has become increasingly nihilistic and we do need to reimagine the magic and embrace our abilities for transcendence

Peterson starts with a conclusion and then finds facts to support his conclusion

Nietzsche understood full well that people weren't a psychological unity. Freud literally took that point from him.

Ayo, be careful of putting the swarz-teeka on Nietzsche’s forehead in the thumbnail..

Actually, Nietzsche never said "Humans beings should have to create their own values". Nietzsche's ideal human (Übermensch) is someone who has overcome the limitations of traditional morality and creates values based on their own strength, perspective, and experience, but this process is deeply personal and existentially challenging, not just a casual creation of new values. Which is a deeper and a much more nuanced thought. JP always oversimplifies other people's ideas and theories (communism, socialism, postmodernism...). It's unfortunate. No pushing back from Lex whatsoever...

Despite what people say about JP, he makes great sense here. Our society needs a reboot.

All people trying to sell their idea through the facade of Nietzsche all conveniently ignore his most important philosophical idea: eternal recurrence. If everything that ever exists can repeat themselves at certain point given long enough history, this directly proves God or some supreme entity or way of life cannot exist, because otherwise existence would be a straight line instead of a circle.

A man wise as Peterson turns out he isn't wise enough to understand Nietzsche

"Why do you think you're wise enough to create your own values"

So who's wise than Society ? Religion dogma ? That has caused countless wars

Belief in god was a unifying force? On what planet? Hitchens would have quickly and effortlessly shut down that argument

Humans are leaders, followers or observers. There is two proclivities that humans in society always teeter on from a sense of freedom but as a contrast to following in a set tolerances that we can attune our behaviors to either garner more wealth and wisdom of life. On either spectrum as society goes in one direction, the negativity proclivities that that direction also increase to pull back from extreme.

If you get to extreme in the sense of freedom to move through society, then you will have small groups form anyways that will try to take control of proxy areas regardless. Which then undermines societal behavior because you have bad actors who can freely disrupt parts of society unchallenged.

If you get to extreme in a bound set of tolerances which become a totalitarian society, which becomes set to a very specific set of behaviors and is harshly punished if stepped outside. Obviously not good because then a specific set of personality traits can dictate to a lot of other personality types that don't jive and you will have major clash with the citizens.

Both when balanced, is the key to the recipe, because when humans understand clearly a define set of behaviors that are reasonable that they can follow, then they will be peaceful. If you the spectrum tilts either way as mentioned above, you have societal disruptions.

I was interested in the title content, but JP would not know a Nazi if it was running for president currently as a republican.

Well Nietzche was seemingly spot on in terms of explosion of anxiety within the western world at least, I certainly have seen the proclivity of this within Europe over my lifetime, . And social disunity is trending like no tomorrow.
I wonder... would a scientifically mathematical understanding of everything, incorporating an understanding of consciousness and a parent source, constitute as the rising abyssic unifying force that is so desperately needed by our species??
