Interesting to see that base goku's assist is pretty significantly faster and has more blockstun than either of the goku beams since its application in neutral is essentially just a ghetto beam assist. It's got a lot of range for a non beam assist, protects crossup, very good blockstun, and is pretty fast apparently. It pushes your opponent pretty far away on block, so its hard to get a mix-up after it for a lot of characters, but it can literally push your opponent to the corner from midscreen before the blockstring is over meaning you get all of your corner pressure and corner combos from go. It can also set up Adult Gohan leg loops from midscreen which is terrifying. With the correct team composition I can see this assist go from a ghetto beam assist to a very good pressure and combo assist.

I was wondering why I could extend Tien's blockstring pressure with Base Goku's assist but I couldn't extend Base Goku's blockstring pressure with Tien's assist--it's all about that blockstun =p.

Never been able to get frame data down well but I did learn that most of the assist either sync right before the the last hit (assuming H), the same time as the last hit or right after the last hit. I use Goku, Bardock and Frieza.

Vegetas assist doesnt have a lot of blockstun anymore because u can reflect or superdash thru it

I keep thinking about trading in Tien for Gotenks or SS Veggie so I can get total lockdown for Nappa ( Yamcha is my other Character) but I don't know I just love Tien he's one of my favourite characters
