Chewy Granola Bars
5 cups rolled oats
4 tbsp ground flax-meal
2 cups smooth peanut butter
1¼ cups maple syrup
⅔ cup mini chocolate chips
⅔ cup freeze dried berries chopped
salt to taste

To a bowl, add the oats and flax-meal, and stir until combined. Next, add the peanut butter and maple syrup. Stir until a thick "batter" is formed. 

Gently stir in the chocolate chips and freeze dried strawberries. 

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and transfer the batter to it. Using the bottom of a mug, pat the batter down until completely firm and evenly dispersed in the pan.

Refrigerate for one hour to set. Once set, remove from the pan with the parchment paper, and slice into 24 pieces. Store the bars in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

You can use any nut butter or seed butter of your choice.

Serving: 1 bar = 295 calories

I used to make these kinds of bars when I was a kid, learned it from 4h camp. So good. I used cornflakes as well.

I recently made my own powerballs, and I was stunned at how easy it was to make them with natural ingredients with great macros, and easy to maintain their shape, and simply preserving them in the freezer (fridge is fine for two weeks.)

The recipe is literally just 50% dry matter (nuts, coconut, seeds) and 50% fatty/wet matter (dried fruit, cocoa powder, matcha, nut butter).
Pulse a few times in the food processor, shape, done.

I'd pretty much never buy them again, especially considering how cheap dried fruit and nuts are per kcal.

Yummy!! Just whipped some up and used some dried cherries bc I didn’t have freeze dried strawberries…a lil extra chewiness, so good!! Thanks for putting in the hard work for us 😋

I like dehydrated bars made out of dates, raisin, peanut butter and coconut paste. Sweet without any additional sugar

How do you recommend storing these? Also, would you be against adding brewers yeast to these? I’m just trying to find healthy snacks to make to help boost my milk supply at the same time (ask with good fiber) thanks!
