There are many great references, some of my favourites are referring to Em's song Leaving Heaven: The line about Malcolm, Boogie and Isaac in Head Honcho and also the line about being knocked out and hearing Eye of the Tiger in his head in Tobey

My bro and I used to head up after work to this place we’d call “the top of Missoula” to smoke and philosophize. We bumped every old freestyle we could find, the older the better. Digging up these old Em, Big L, Jay-Z, and Biggie freestyles were like finding buried treasure. Wasn’t long before we had all our favs (like this one) memorized. I can spot every sensor, but it’s pretty dope that people are still diggin it today, gives me faith. 😅
