Retired Race Car Driver Danica Patrick on Hidden Epidemic of Breast Implant Illness

“Breast implant illness is a real thing.” @DanicaPatrick

When professional race car driver and podcast host Danica Patrick heard Dr. Daniel Amen say this in an episode of his online series Scan My Brain, she gave him a high-five and responded, “Thank you for saying that. Not many doctors do.” Patrick lived with breast implants for 7 years before choosing to have them removed. She had been dealing with health issues, including low thyroid function, leaky gut, and severe heavy metal toxicity, which she thinks may have been linked to the implants. Her healthcare providers treated her thyroid and gut issues, but the biggest change in her health came after breast implant removal. “I found immediate relief,” she says.

So Grateful to Danica for doing this. What a stong woman! This is what positive female imagery looks like. Hiding medical concerns for fear of embarrassment is so unattractive.

I had breast implants taken out 7 weeks ago after having them in for 21 years. I’m amazed at how much better I feel already. I had a list of symptoms going on for years and didn’t realize a lot of them were due to the implants. I’m so grateful to finally have them out. Better late then never!

You are both wonderful people! Thank you for this. And thank you for bringing to light the toxicity that comes with implants. I'm at that crossroads right now. I'm 42, dealing with breast cancer. I'm thinking a prothestic bra may be my best option, albeit there's the "body image issue" that comes with "staying flat and scarred". But health is obviously more important! It HAS to be in this case. Thanks again Dr. Amen and Danica!

Another great reveal. I'm curious why we didn't hear about the low cerebellum = lower PFC, white emotional areas in the center, and the dent on top. Could be she didn't want that on camera; respect if so. The scalloping we know comes from toxicity...the metals she named. I wonder if she got some of those from her racing career. Thanks, Danica, for talking about implant illness!

matcha has 5x as much theonine as regular green tea Dr Amen.

Dr. Amen, you said that matcha was good but "Green tea is the best." Given that matcha IS green tea and the whole tea leaf is powdered and drunk, it seems to have a higher theanine (5x?) content than steep green tea leaves. Therefore matcha is probably the BEST form of green tea.

The 4 circles remind me of the verse in the Bible where it says that the child (Jesus Christ) grew in wisdom (mentally/psychologically), stature (physically/biologically), favor with God (spiritually), and favor with man (socially)

Why is lower blood flow to the brain a bad thing as shown on a SPECT scan if I may ask? What if it's just an acute event that doesn't mean anything in terms of a reflection of the person's brain health? I'm wondering because you often say it's a bad thing
