I’m a straight man and personally I love pink, it’s nice and easy on the eyes, I also love cute plushies and baking. Just because I have the body type of a neanderthal with a scraggly beard doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy cuteness. Pastels are love, pastels are life.

So when I was around 6 I asked my parents for a pink Barbie convertible power wheels car. They got it for me, a male, and wonder why I wanted it but supported me regardless. I told them "why would I buy a car that boys like if I want girls to ride in it with me".

The thing that always gets me is pink USED to be a boy colour. Blue was the girl's.

Pink is a soft red, so a child red, and red was apparently manly. Blue is calming like girls were supposed to be.

It changed in the 1950s when two stores went into competition. Look at stuff from before then, especially the Victorian Era, and you'll see boys in pink and girls in blue

People can be so weird about that stuff. I was a tomboy and loved blue, dinosaurs, and race cars. People in my mom's side of the family kept trying to force me to play with dolls but I didn't want to.
