Crayola is bringing back eight retired crayon colors in a limited edition collection

This is the first time in the company's 122-year history that it's done this.

Orange Red, Violet Blue, Lemon Yellow, and Raw Umber (retired in 1990).

I remembered when the color Dandilion retired and they had a contest to see which color would replace it. I lost!

I want my "flesh" and "Indian Red" crayons back - I used Indian Red for lots of stuff.

How and why does Crayola decide which colors to retire? How and why do they decide to bring them back?

I had 2 giant Crayola collections back in 2016-2017 all because of my obsession with all sorts of colors, certainly don't remember the dandelion one but it's super fabulous to see that they've brought back something that I could have never caught my eye on all along. I've seen the mulberry color back in 1st grade (2016/17) with how they still kept 3 decades worth of Crayola crayons, never knew it was discontinued years before my time.

Crayon, not Cran. I'm surprised they retired some of these. A couple of them sound like basic tertiary colors. I remember violet-blue, orange-red, lemon yellow, and burnt umber from when I was a kid.

Raw Umber was my favorite brown as a kid. I was mad when they got rid of it

GOOD! They should never have been taken out. I hope one is FLESH color., Indian red and magenta my faves as a child and today.
