Sainsbury's sales drop but Argos improves

Sainsbury's has blamed "very competitive" trading conditions, and warned of continuing uncertainty because of the weak pound - as it revealed falling supermarket sales.

But sales at Argos - which Sainsbury's bought last year as part of its £1.4bn purchase of Home Retail Group - have improved.

Ian King spoke to I went to see John Rogers, Sainsbury's former finance director who became Argos chief executive following the acquisition in September.
