How could the distance be 17.9 m if the maximum distance it could be is 7.5 m + 4.5 m = 12 m. it being 17.9 m from O would mean that it is not located on the beam.

What do you do when there isn't a Moment given like if there were no 500 kN-m? Would you just not include that in your sum equation? Or would you have to find it?

7:20 Why is the F△B here and why do you assign r△B and r△G a factor of 2/3 and 1/3 respectively (as in why are their respective forces 2/3 and 1/3 of the distance)?
