On highway hypnosis there's actually another factor to consider. For one the correct term would he dissociation however the term highway hypnosis is much better known for the specific occurrence of dissociation when commuting.
The additional factor I was talking about is that not everyone can dissociate. You can be genetically predisposed to dissociation which then means you could experience highway hypnosis or even be at a higher risk for dissociative disorders such as PTSD.

This made me wonder if white line hypnosis or highway hypnosis could correlate to the state you get when you read a book for too long and can't remember the pages you read. The correlation could be the white lines that are in between the black text resulting in a similar experience.
