This is the new 2020 Mercedes-Maybach S560 and today it meets its elder, the 2007 Maybach 57s which costs half the price and offers 12 cylinder thrills. Both are big luxury cars and they represent the peak of Mercedes' technology for their era. So considering there's been 13 years of advancement since it hit the streets, can the old one stack up? Saw a Maybach 57S a couple weeks ago on the road and it's still impressive and I drive an S-Class, the old Maybach is a real Maybach, the new ones are just a slightly nicer version of my car. LOL

You must note that:
Back in the day, Maybach was a separate brand under Mercedes, hence it was somewhat different from S class which it was based on...
Now Maybach is JUST a trim level in the S class family, the highest and most luxurious, so no difference from S class...

Maybach S62 dual tone is my first love. The wheel arches, the chrome separator of body color, the trunk design, the brake light running across the width, everything is so much mesmerizing.
Only the S62 could match the magnificence of the Rolls Royce, not the S-Class looking Maybachs.

Fun fact the central box that Thomas mentioned at 8:25 which opened from two angles, in the old generation S class the Legendary W221 it actually had a third button which would open a even deeper storage place and in it it had a telephone place holder which was the same telephone used in some other cars including the SLS and when I first noticed that it always amazed me idk why but I thought it was really cool

What's so cool about the Maybach is that it's one size larger than the full size S-Class / A8 / 7-series luxury car segment. Even though it's almost 30cm longer than the W222 Maybach it still doesn't look stretched!
