While in reality all clothes are actually unisex and anyone can wear whatever they want- everything has been unnecessarily gendered for a very long time. So oddly specific things like colors, patterns, and fabrics, have always been associated with masculinity or femininity, like the examples given at 1:18 and 2:48, but has never been associated with androgyny.

It’s hard to navigate through gender neutral clothing in a heteronormative society, because if the colors of your clothes are too muted, then to society you’re presenting masculine, or if the fabric of your clothes are patterned, then to society you’re presenting feminine. So it’s not easy to find an in between of all of these societal rules. It’s definitely something I struggle with, I like the characteristics of feminine clothing a lot, but want to wear it in a masculine presenting way, dealing with gender dysphoria makes it all the more challenging lmao.

Gender neutral clothes: jeans, trousers, t-shirts, sweatshirts, most knitwear. Most colours. Most materials. Patterns like stripes, checks, paisley. Fedora hats and bakerboy/baseball caps. Sneakers, slippers, lowcut boots. Some jewelery.
If you don't want to dress feminine or masculine (or mix it) you don't need to an extra designer for that.
