Crews recently installed 15 pre-cast girders at the Merced Avenue Grade Separation south of Wasco. These girders spanned more than 177-feet long and are some of the longest girders manufactured by subcontractor Con-Fab California.

Looking good! I can see that the last 2 girders were already placed this week! I really want to see this Construction Package finished by March 2023, so keep working hard everyone!

My state, California, needs High Speed Rail (HSR). HSR will pull communities together.

I really didnt think that HSR anywhere in the USA would happen, let alone California. Glad to see this happening. Now we need Brightline West from Las Vegas to LA basin!

More progress on CHSR! Great! Keep it up!

What a marathon of a project. But hopefully it will rival the northeast corridor once finished.

Will the new state budget speed it up at all?

If HSR actually starts running in the next 25 years I would like to fly to Cali and take a ride to compare it to our Acela service in

Great, great. So what everyone really needs to know is that in terms of miles of guideway and structures finished, they accomplished almost nothing between July 2021 and April 2022. You'll be able to hear all about it once they get around to publishing another Finance & Audit Committee video. From what I can tell, construction on CPs 1-4 will be about 6 months behind the already dramatically downwardly-revised schedule and may possibly slip into 2024. That's just the 119 miles connected to nothing they're building right now. Doesn't count the extensions to Merced and Bakersfield.

Not a single Californian in these comments born and raised in the central valley 😂

Around Pacific, Canada, Australia, USA, are way way behind in HSR development. In November 2022, Indonesian presidential test run takes place with G20.

there's something about rail bridges that make them so much more appealing than road bridges...

I love the smell of burning taxpayer's dollars in the morning! Estimated cost: one million dollars per FOOT! (true!). Estimated completion date :'never'.

More excellent propagandistici examples of the bloated and costly overdesign of this misbegotten and mismanaged project for all to see on Youtube paid for with your taxpayer money. All of this bloated design and sheer waste is going on while our State's busiest (and the United States second busiest), intercity passenger rail corridor from LA to San Diego, on the most congested intercity interstate freeway corridor in the US is completely shut down, as the single tracked, 25 mph., 1887 built segment of the LOSSAN mainline in San Clemente is sinking into the slowly rising Pacific Ocean. Yep, as usual, we seem to worship this kind of glamorous venal costly waste, while ignoring basic needs....
