Military helicopters flying low over Chicago River

I've never seen it before! But apparently it's all just "routine training."

The Chicago Office of Emergency Management statement that supposedly covered this in advance was pretty vague and made no mention of HELICOPTERS.

According to my professor, Dr. Wimmer...they call these Hurleys(I believe), She was a combat sniper in the military. This woman is a badass! She says, there is no way in HELL these planes are supposed to fly over Civilian areas at random.

It's Delta Force, they train across the country for all kinds of scenarios. They even do training exercises in major airports like O'Hare. It's neat stuff, but nothing to be concerned about.

Last week 1 Blackhawk and 1 osprey flew over my house and they were very low it was scary but cool at the same time. It happens every year!

That’s OUR military. I welcome this site every time I see them flying down the NJ beaches which they do a few times a week.

This common for military bases, but not in major cities. I seen fly throughs when i was stationed a fort jackson.

Wouldn't be surprised if it would be some trainings to be prepared for some new interesting "terrorist attack", they did have a whole bunch of trainings before 9 / 11..

Common man the government is good and cares about people. They say it themselves! That exercise was probably just to keep us safe

I know. Just think about it. Old military bases have both high security, and facilities for people to live in. They would work well as internment camps.
And if someone is like "hey is this a Fema camp"
the reply is "no its just an old military base"
It totally makes sense
