Wraith cooler letting the Ryzen 1600 overclock to 4.0GHz while my stock Intel cooler sounds like its dying on my i5 6500. God this made me realize how fucking cheap Intel is, even while making so much money.

The X exist because overclockers are actually a niche. Not every gamer or pc user overclocks like true geeks.

mhh, this 1600 release is really making me want to upgrade my 2600. I know my 470 doesn't need a new cpu since the 2600 can keep up just fine, but man, for this price and 12 thread, it's starting to sound good.

Thank you for this video! I was sitting on the fence about purchasing the 1600 and 1600x, but thanks for pointing out the additional cost of the cooler and to have a X370 motherboard to use full features of 1600x.

I see the price difference for me is over 25%, while performance difference is more or less 5%. I'm now going to order the 1600 with the ASUS B350 motherboard. Thanks for making this video again. Take my upvote! :)

There seems to be some voltage binning though. For the R7 CPU's those numbers have been collected based upon a reasonable amount of samples, it is to be expected that you see the same for the 1600 and 1600X. The 1800X needs aproximately 0.2 V less for 4.0 GHz than the 1700.

I got the R5 1600 and with just 2 clicks, its running with 3, 9 GHz on all cores. So => No, the "X" is not worth it.

yeah def get the 1600. no doubt about it. i was a little torn between the 1500x & the 1600, but after watching *multiple* benchmark videos(from multiple techtubers), its blatantly obvious to go for the 1600.

for $20-25 more dollars(quite reasonable), even though the gaming performance is still relatively the same(within 1-5% of each other), the 1600 provides quite a substantial increase on cpu intensive workloads & applications, like video rendering/uploading, & more stability streaming on platforms like twitch(which i like to do occasionally).

no reason to get the 1400, as the 1500x blows that out of the water, and vice versa, no real point in getting the 1500x since the 1600 also blows that out of the water.
