Gdańsk[a] is a city on the Baltic coast of northern Poland, and the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. With a population of 486,492, it is Poland's sixth-largest city and principal seaport. Gdańsk lies at the mouth of the Motława River and is situated at the southern edge of Gdańsk Bay, close to the city of Gdynia and resort town of Sopot; these form a metropolitan area called the Tricity (Trójmiasto), with a population of approximately 1.5 million.

I like Gdansk. Its sofar my favourite 450 000 inhabitant city in North Eu. Very Walkable and lots of surprises. All these large park areas with a fountine everywhere in the middle of the living quarters. Living history dating back to the 13-th century to present. The Tram that takes you to the beach and with a 5 Euro 24 hour ticket see the whole city .Above standard eating and drinking even in the tourist areas. Pocket friendly pricing also, will certainly return some day and just walk again and spy on the polish way of life
