The RGB lighting doesn't flicker in person it is just because of the shutter speed on my new camera, I will fix this for next time, live and learn!

Thank you for your review. Your appreciation of the key components that interest me the most were particularly helpful ----> sound and image + your advice on the downward facing speakers. I just found this new at 1000€ and though it is last year's model, it is sufficient for my needs. I am replacing an MSI GS60 Ghost Pro from 2015. I was very satisfied with it... except for the burning bottom which has now bubbled the paint & sheds black flakes like Hansel & Gretel walking in the forest...

Good video. Been ages since you're reviewed a laptop! I want to review a 8750H soon. I don't want to spend more than $1000 USD as I already have a desktop, but for 4k video editing need something like this to edit without lag.

Hey mate, nice video. I was lookinf at this laptop but the new 2060 rtx, In your opinion, do you think I could run most all vr games ok on it? Maybe Project cars 2, Contractors etc?

Newegg has these on sale for $1129 USD with another $100 off if you send in the rebate card, not a bad price imo.

Smudge magnet I see just like my GL62M. Wish MSI could do something about that. In ten minutes of use, a new laptop suddenly looks like it was used for weeks!

is this lap still good to go? I'm planning on getting one around this month so I was looking for reviews which were very low for this specific model but foud this, the perfect rundown :) anyways I'm going back and forth between asus rog strix gl503ge which has a 1050ti and 16gb of ram, and this, msi ge63 8re, I think now there's a variation of this with 16gb of ram, I'll be using it for modeling and rendering mostly, so is this still a good choice? The one with your specs costs here 248, 000LKR and the one with 16gb of ram was around 255, 000LKR in a store website Idk how updated it is though, and the strix costs 250, 000LKR. Some guidelines would be really appreciated. :)

Honestly 83 degrees for CPU is considered good. There are some laptops that can reach 95 -100 degrees for the CPU

Wow, it's barely 2020 and this game (Far Cry 5) looks near ancient already next to 2019's Outlanders and Half Life Alyx. It's like a 15 year timeshift happening all over again =0
Appreciate the great video!

this is the replacement for my GE62 7RG, which i love. the review is very good the laptop as well, but i'm good until next generation graphics pops up. btw... a good (i.e. quiet) laptop cooler is highly recommend for highly threaded loads like transcoding or video editing.
the laptop can easily handle the heat, it's the tiny "squirrel-cage" fans whining at speed that every laptop is susceptible to.

I guess 1000-1500 $ price range for a gaming laptop is the best range

Is the motherboard right side up? So like if you remove the bottom panel you can immediately upgrade the storage and ram? Or does it require a full teardown
