The Fast Attack Missile Boat bears the name of Lieutenant Antonios Daniolos HRN.
He was born on 1911 in Thessaloniki, joined the Submarines force at 1937. He was killed on the 16th of November 1942 on the bridge of HS TRITON near Kafireas Cape, during the attack of the German Antisubmarine Chaser UJ-2102.
The Ship's Arsenal includes:
SS Missile: Eight (8) EXOCET MM40 Block 2 Mod 1. SA Missile: Stinger portable system (storage capability). Main Middle Range Gun 76/62 OTO MELARA SUPER RAPID FIRE (120 rounds / minute). Two (2) Short Range Guns OTO BREDA 30mm SAFS. Close In Weapon System Missiles: RAMWS MK 31 mod 1. Chaff System: Two (2) launchers SRBOC MK 36 mod 2 of ALEX/SRBOC system.
