Herta is the only reason I decided to play this game. Normally I won't play a turn-based game except for pokemon, but Herta is just SO CUTE!!!
(especially for the spherical joint of her doll and black-purple-white color design)

Tier lists are a huge problem due to how easy they are to make and to consume by missing THE ENTIRE POINT of them. They're based on lots on assumptions and should only be taken within certain contexts,

but people overlook the assumptions and context, look at a B tier character and go "ok, never bulding them, they're worse than all of the others".

Meanwhile that character could be EXACTLY what they're missing from their team, but they don't know it.

Eh, i'm fully convinced she'll get better overtime once more relics and cones start to appear. I mean they could hypothetically introduce a relic that with 2 piece could improve damage bonus but with 4 piece it could boost the damage of follow up attacks by certain percentage which will stack up to three times or something like that which at that point could make her damage go sky high especially after we consider Bronya and Tingyun boosts. Point is, just because she's kinda meh today doesn't mean she will always remain this way.

Herta as 40% damage bonus on normal attack with E1 so you just spam skill until they got below 50% and then just spam normal attack ( normal attack lv 4 as 80% dmg + 40 due E1 ) traces skill 1 give more dmg on the skill

Note : they give you 3-4 Herta with simulated world

Herta is also a pretty good sub dps for Hook. She brings the aoe for the packs and when the boss is the only one left she wont need her skill so she can battery skill points for Hook to spam E.

i think many ppl (like me) don't build her in the beggining is cuz she's Cryo. March is kinda needed as the only defensive option early and i didn't want another cryo...
Also i've been lucky to find Pela so i use Natasha as defensive and Pela for cryo.
BUT NOW AGAIN i found Sampo and Yanqing! so i'll never build her unless i have spare resources :(

I have very barely looked at beta gameplay but I bet "tiermakers" are only basing their lists off of the latest beta.

I will mainly use the Preservation MC and Herta, even if they actually fall off in endgame.
I suggest anyone who reads this checks Herta's eidolons, they're really good outside of solo bosses because she can improve her damage mid-fight.
At E4 it looks like she'll get a permanent 10% damage bonus for doing one follow-up, and at E2 she gets 3% crit rate for each up to 15%. E6 is generally gonna make you use her ultimate before doing follow-ups or attacking because she gets 25% extra attack for a turn.
E1 is good for when there's one enemy left so she keeps some relevance in terms of damage.
Unless character design gets messed up and characters from one archetype creep into another, you really don't want to compare The Hunt to Erudition, and if the hardest fights are multiple enemies or a boss who summons minions you know who to call...

My general rule in every game is use characters that you love because making them stronger is more worthwhile than using “meta” characters. Don’t follow tier lists as they can change. Just stick to what you believe will make your gameplay more fun and enjoyable.

I’m only stating this because some people would not build their favorite characters because they are more likely to follow character tier lists or best team comps. Don’t get discouraged, do whatever you want to do!

I'm still at utter disbelief how Herta is ranked so low in the tier list while she's one of the best early game units to build because many of the enemies are weak to Ice. I'll continue to play with her for a long time for sure.

I liked her design and started playing with her, then i found out that she is a queen of add-clear. she is bad against single target bosses true, but she is good against large groups. i am going to use her in endgame tho i think i will put a single target dps in my party as well to make sure that when i have a miniboss i can kill it without too much trouble

Herta is good if she combines with Himeko, March 7th and Clara for a full counter+follow up team.. but herta falls on boss encounters.

My main beef with her is that she isn't bad, her follow-up attack is what's bad. Unless the enemy summons or heals, it only really gets triggered one time and it's gone. Compared to the other erudition characters that can follow-up, only she has a limited number of times she can do a follow-up attack

I use Herta, I mean she's cute. Plus big hammer. My team is Welt Herta Trailblazer I'm going to get her to Flame and Natasha I have no idea if there's a good team but it's fun

Tbf people learned from the Bennet fiasco and are now applying it to HSR hence why Tingyun is (over)valued.

The problem with Herta currently is that her talent will not proc as often..

Herta will also take up space of a cryo breaker (only role I see her performing) which is just better off given to Pela.
