I am not sure  why these players with GPS are around $1000 extra when the portable GPS cost just over $100 bucks.

I have one of these... its not hard to use... but the interface is rubbish... the shortcuts are pretty hideous and the Windows CE they use to run in the background pops up regularly with warning windows and crap. You'd think in this day and age someone would design something better
