Thor: Ragnarok is finally here! Not everyone loved Thor 2 as much as they seem to be loving Thor 3, but it wasn't all bad. Here's everything right with Thor: The Dark World.

This one definitely showed why this channel is so important. We do get overly negative in the way we critique films so it is a breath of fresh air to have this channel be more positive.

As a fantasy fan, I was mad into the aesthetics of Thor: The Dark World. I wish less of it had been set on earth, because I was LIVING for Vanaheim and Asgard. I love Loki’s meltdown after his mother’s death. Visually this movie is BEAUTIFUL. I’ve never understood why people don’t love it!

17 mins this scene takes an entirely new feeling when you have seen Thor: Ragnarok because Loki stabbing Thor no longer feels like betrayal but rather a violent but fun little thing that Loki does sometimes

Actually, Viking funerals did happen, but they were EXTREMELY RARE. They were reserved for nobility, but since ships cost a lot to build & maintain, even the nobles were USUALLY buried in the ground, but with a lot more stuff.

No wins for Loki's sarcasm and comments while they were escaping on a ship? Disgraceful lmao

Side note: That truck is real.
They took a fully functioning cement truck and stuck it on a slowly spinning pole, synchronized with a computer to ensure continuity.

“DARCY?!”
“Jane!”
“Ian... Selvig.”
“Mewmeh!”

Loki's scenes were the heart of this movie (loved Hemsworth's moments too, but still). Two of my favorite Loki lines from the movie were:
"Now you see me brother" (when he reveals himself to Thor, looking distraught and having destroyed his room after Frigga's death).
"Trust my rage." (When Thor and Loki were arguing on the boat-ship thingy).

8:47 I love how you just win Stan Lee with no explanation

"Trust my rage..."

By far my favorite line from that movie. Three words that manage to perfectly surmise a relationship between two characters, the emotional toll of losing someone, possibly the only person who saw you for who you truly are.

12:28 The reason Thor does that is because it is Norse tradition to "check your weapons at the door" when invited into another's home.

My friend's dad worked on Thor and died during this film. It's really nice to see the film that was dedicated to him get some love when so much of the fandom seems to hate it

You didn't win Loki's line about Thor lying to him... "I'm impressed..."??!??! That was a great moment!

One of my favorite scenes in this movie is Thor coming to visit Jane and hanging up his hammer the way one would hang up a coat.

Domesticated Thor is hilarious.

"The coathook is worthy"

9.8/10 would hook again

Just so you know: while I was watching 'Thor: Ragnarok' yesterday the phrase 'Chris Hemsworth's workout routine' popped into my head.

The best movie for Loki. You can definitely see how Odin hurt him in this movie, and how he matures and evolves on his own. I love it, maybe even more than Ragnarok, yes.

I've come to the conclusion that I am easy to please when it comes to films. I can see the good parts of almost any film, even ones that most people think are bad. T:tDW is one of those films that I loved, and so many people hated.

I just realized that they reused the funeral score, loki used it in his play about his faked death

11:46 I always have loved this part I think he's still protecting Jane because of how much Thor loves her and he cares about Thor. Just my take.
