HDay 2018: SFWD Class Qualifying Rounds

The SFWD Class at H Day (Honda Day) Qualifying Rounds.
Unfortunately the racing action was cut short on Saturday just before the SFWD class could make a run. Believe it or not, it snowed! OGS1320 made the call to do 2 Qualifying rounds on Sunday and then jump into eliminations. They were prepared to hustle with the MBP staff and they sure did to ensure we got all rounds of racing completed in one day.
This class is insanely competitive. The 16 car field ranged from Chapulin with a 8.06 to Jose Alvarado with a 8.42 - 23 racers out of the 28 car field competing made 8 second or faster passes. The OGS1320 World Record changes hands during Qualifying as well. (It changes again in Elimination rounds)
A couple doors blew off. and unfortunately Joe Viveros had an accident but he is okay and they will evaluate the car this week.
