A journey in three chapters to discover Chopin's life through the sound of the cello. The most ambitious project of the Franco-Belgian cellist Camille Thomas. Camille Thomas plays on the Franchomme’s mythical cello - the Stradivarius Feuermann. The Chopin’s sonata for cello and piano was dedicated to his friend Auguste-Joseph Franchomme. Franchomme transcribed the Chopin’s piano pieces for cello after knowing Chopin found no objection to this.

Is this an abbreviated version purely to accommodate the cello? Missing the entire 3rd page of the piece with all the piano runs (genuinely asking can this part not easily be accomplished/played on the cello?) Also why the transposition from C# minor to B minor (the original being in C# minor). Is it easier to play on the cello in B minor? Or is it a typo in the title?
