This is literally the only video where I can learn how to play this song CORRECTLY, all these other tutorials don't help at all 😂

Funny thing is that you might be a supersonic shredder playing hundreds of notes in a single bar but still you won't achieve that charm, groove and beat that Neil Rodgers has with very basic four chords. He is so incredible.

Co wrote and played rhythm on Let's Dance and here he is over 30 years later still relevant and and playing for an audience that weren't even born when he collaborated with Bowie.
A true pioneer and legend.

Something I'm sure guitar players can relate to: When first joining my latest band, I got the usual list of songs in their repertoire to learn. It had the usual Michael Jackson, Van Halen, Billie Idol, Prince chestnuts along with newer top 40 stuff. When I started working on Get Lucky I thought "Great! an easy four chord song" until I really tried to learn story short, far and away the most difficult song on the list.

You could actually see Nile trying not to jive to the funk

I grew up loving Nile Rogers' style, with huge collaborations with Diana Ross, Chic, Sister Sledge to name a few. His music transcends the races and age groups. Just pure brilliance.

A masterpiece! Most of the times, we often forget that simplicity is the key.

This is SUCH a GOOD WAY to do a video like this. Really, really beautiful job, D'Addario and Co. Nile really shines here.

I have nothing but total respect for this man. He produced so many hits for so many artists. And on top of that, in that Get Lucky music video, he looks so freaking cool playing his transparent Stratocaster.
