Most of us think that Government Officials are lazy, incompetent, or inefficient. Almost everyone thinks that Government Officials just relax in the office and don’t work without taking bribes from the people. Some of you might think that Government jobs are secure heavens where you can’t lose your jobs even if you are extremely incompetent. Government employees are usually of two types in India.

Corrupt and Hardworking
Honest and lazy
Most corrupt government officers are hardworking since the more they work, the more money they can make. Corruption money drives them to work harder and take risk.

The honest officers are usually lazy in government department for the following reasons.

There is no incentive like bonus, higher increment etc. for working hard in government.
All promotions are time bound or based on seniority.
The more you work, the more mistakes you commit. While government does not reward for doing right, there are severe punishment for committing mistakes.
If you work more, it is highly likely that you would be given the work of other officials as well who are lazy. If you are lazy, you would get even lesser work and you can enjoy even more laziness.
Your job is secured. You can be fired for corruption, but hardly for being lazy.
There are a few hardworking and honest officers as well as lazy and corrupt officers in government.

However, they are exceptions rather than the rule.

Government should hire private consultant agencies like BCG or McKinsey to make government employees more efficient. We shouldn't be at the mercy of bureaucrats for making self regulatory rules for themselves

Old pension should not be started once again, as these are not doing any charity work, after 7 pay commission they are getting hefty payments

It may seem impossible but many countries have reformed, Singapore is a great example of getting a good leader with political will, same can be said for Japan and Germany who changed from a warring nation to a population that hates wars and protests when the govt tries to increase defense budget. All that is required is strong political will and a nation of critical thinkers and active citizens who won't just close their eyes to corruption around them.

System rabish ji system. Tabhi to log govt jobs ke liye pagal hai, taaki unpe wo rules apply na ho jo ek non-govt employee par hote hai. Iss desh ka kuch nhi hone wala and this same mindset encourage talented people to leave the country. Brain drain.

One thing i wondered, we privatize any sectors, but that simply wouldn't be accepted on it's own, so what if government not only privatises but also become a considerable shareholder but not too big one in the newly privatized company, while having a representative in the company's board of directors and have voting rights too and have simple oversight on company's operations without interfere too much, how would this work out?, does it even have a chance?

Recently A Food inspector in chattisgarh emptied a whole Dam and wasted 21 Lakh Litre water to find his lost phone .
This incident made me so nuts but I know He, his job and his pocketmoney is safe .
