It seems like royal Enfield really stepped it up in terms of build quality. In a blind manufacturer oil test they came out the best.

Nothing better than cruising along at 100km/h in a complete state of zen.🧘

It would be gorgeous if Royal Enfield made the chrome model, not only with red, but in British racing green.

I love the looks of the red and chrome, but the price might be a too high for what it is. It it were priced closer to the Meteor 350, then it would be very tempting. I'm old (68) so the Classic 350 appeals to me. I live in the U.S. and don't know what the price will be yet.
I currently have a 2021 HD Tri-Glide due to my wife's serious health issues. She has battled cancer eight times, had 12 operations in the last 10 years, 47 blasts of radiation to her pelvis region, 10 blasts to her brains, 6 Cyber Knife treatments, countless chemo treatments, and is currently on immuno therapy and will be every 28 days for the rest of her life. When the cancer went to her brain it caused her to have seizures, that's when we went from two wheelers to the trike. We thought if she had a seizure on a two wheeler it might cause an accident injuring both of us and possibly others. On the trike we think I'll have time to pull over and tend to her needs.
All of this being said, I'd still like to have a small two wheeler for the old two lane roads where the speed limits are slower and more enjoyable.
Ride safe and enjoy every journey. Any ride that you return home safely is a good ride.

I'm a proud owner of a Euro 4 classic 500 with 25000km, riding in North Portugal. Roads here are very different from those you rode. The use i make of the bike includes steeper roads, long and curvy descents not allowing more than 40/50 km/h, bad pavements, everything almost as in India landscapes. I suspect that the way the torque is delivered in the new 350 will be a bit different. In case of swapping my bike for a 350 I am affraid to loose some of the simple nosthalgic, archaic and visceral pleasures of the older 500 model, even if it may be slightly quicker in accellerations and top speed due to less vibration.

Love the Aussie turn of phrase. "Old tossers like me", "We're not dead yet", "You're not target market so move on son". Brilliant. We've only had one UK review of this bike so far as we're still up to our eyebrows in winter salt, mud and cowsh*t. Thoroughly enjoyed your thoughts on a bike I'm seriously considering.

8000 Australian dollars for classic 350 is approximately 4.5 lakhs in Indian rupees whereas in India🇮🇳 its OTR is approx 2.5 lakhs .... Not saying it's expensive there but jst a small comparison bcuz prices don't matter country to country as both has different PPP respectively

As good as it is..not suitable for Aussie conditions unless you only use it within city limits. I guess its perfect for Europe though.

I tested the RE Classic 500 recently and loved its character. Waiting to test the new Classic 350 when it's hits Malaysia. And from your review and what you said about it being Fun, it sounds promising already.

G'day, l have the 2021 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650cc with the chrome tank in red stripe, so far 2500 kms and have found the build quality is excellent and ride fantastic, the 350cc looks just as good, cheers.

Well done mate. The commentary is lively and informative. Even with the currency exchange, it seems like the we get a better deal here in the US, where Classic 350's run about $4, 599 dollars. A nicely refined bag of spanners for us old tossers.

Enfield have been better in oil engine test quality for a very long time, its not a new thing, however it's a shame the first thing you need to do on brand new, Japanese, German, Italian, British, American, bike is drain the engine oil at ZERO miles. Why is the first oil change free? Because these bikes engine oil have a high contents of metal and rubber debris in the oil. Is it normal? It's a quality issue, customers doesn't care, manufacturer doesn't care. The rubber debris can easily block up oil ways. Easy win for Enfield, Not been a super fan of theirs but I do like the size of engines, the simple looks that look classic a style that will age well. not a huge fan of this 'Retro' trend. keep the designs simple, cafe race, cruiser, sports - the classic 350cc is nice bike, bit heavy but still a great bike. has a soul and character.

In the UK the Classic is 10% more expensive than the Meteor.
Does anyone know why this is as I cannot see why this should be.

I don’t consider myself to be worlds best motorcycle rider, but I did put a lot of people to shame when riding the European Alps in Italy and the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland on my Classic 500. I hope Hitchcocks will eventually make a big bore kit to come a little closer to the power that the 500 makes. But I am getting one, that’s for sure. Shame Europe doesn’t get the single channel ABS models like the Signals color scheme.
